CLIENT CASE

Developing responsible leadership at a multinational med-tech company

1. The challenge

Getinge, a multinational med-tech company with 10.000+ employees, needed to empower and equip its leaders and employees to make values-driven decisions that could strengthen stakeholder trust and contribute to a culture of integrity, quality, and high ethical standards.

2. The Responsible Leadership program at Getinge

Heart Management helped the Ethics & Compliance team at Getinge design and develop a groundbreaking culture and leadership program called Responsible Leadership #itstartswithme, together with a faculty of world-leading researchers and experts. The program discusses critical topics like ethical tunnel vision, speak-up culture, and the responsibility of business, combining short-form video interviews with world-leading researchers and experts with reflections, workshops, and values dilemmas.

3. The journey

A few months after launch, close to 1000 employees had voluntarily journeyed through the extensive program. The feedback has been incredibly positive, and the resource fosters ongoing conversations around business-relevant values dilemmas from the executive team to the factory floor.

Said about the collaboration

”Heart Management has been an instrumental and invaluable part of building our Responsible Leadership program. Their knowledge of leadership, and corporate culture is impressive, and they have a great network within the field. The Responsible Leadership program has now become the “GETFlix” of Getinge.”

- Anna Romberg, EVP Sustainability, Legal & Compliance, Getinge
